### What to do if Your Treadmill Won’t Power Up

If the treadmill won’t power up, make sure it’s plugged into a working electrical outlet. You can check the outlet by plugging in a small appliance or lamp. Also check your homes’ circuit breaker to see if it’s tripped; reset the breaker if needed.

If the outlet is getting power, check the treadmill power cord for damage. If you find a damaged power cord, replace it.

### What to do if Your Treadmill Won’t Start but the Console Display Works

Make sure the safety key is inserted properly in the treadmill; the treadmill won’t start if the key is unplugged.

Unplug the treadmill and check the wiring connections between the console display and the motor control board. Reconnect any loose wires; broken wires should be repaired or replaced.

### What to do if Your Treadmill Slows During Use

A damaged walking belt, improper belt tension, lack of belt lubricant or a bad drive motor can cause the walking belt to slow.

With the treadmill unplugged, check the belt for signs of damage; if you find it’s torn, replace it.

Check the belt tension by lifting the middle edge at each side of the belt. You should be able to lift the belt’s edge up 2 to 3 inches above the walking board. If it’s too loose or too tight, adjust the belt tension following the instructions in your owner’s manual.

You may also need to add belt lubricant to the walking board; the belt should slide easily across the board.

If these don’t resolve the issue, the problem could be the drive motor. A service technician should inspect the treadmill.

### What to do if Your Treadmill’s Walking Belt is Slipping

Check both the rollers to make they spin freely. Bad roller bearings will cause the roller to bind; replace the roller in this case.

If the rollers are okay, inspect the belt for tears or damage, and replace the belt if needed. Also ensure the belt tension is good.
